Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, biscuit dough, toast, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt notes with great strength. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, biscuit dough, toast, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.5ġ2 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on. damn good stuff, one of the few DIPAs I have had lately that I will remember as distinct, is it the best ? nah, but that is all subjective I suspect, depends on your preference, I like thermo nuclear melt your mouth hop madness myself but I can still appreciate (and goddamn enjoy) this brew, cheers fellow beer travelers. If you like malt forward wet hoppy goodness then you owe yourself an appointment with this brew, I would bet by the end of half a pint you will come to the same conclusion as this modest (hah) writer. Immediately I admire the heft, this has a real nice weight to it (right now I am motioning with my hand cupped like I am weighing something and I am surprised by the heaviness - in a good way), much like the nose this is a pretty balanced affair, you get all the flavors, definite malt sweetness up front, kind of melts away into the tropical/pine notes and then you get a blanket of wet hop flavor, really intense but oddly not that bitter, more and more enjoyable with each sip, just a little hint of the alcohol is present in the feel (warming) and in the flavor but you kind of have to notice it stickin' up it's hand in the hop field waving at you to snap you out of your hop fever dream, really nice long aftertaste here from the hops, the balance is rather impressive and man this is drinkable Spritzy lemon and pine, green wet hops underneath that, that right note that makes a hop love drool just a little bit, some tropicals but not over the top, nicely balanced a good sniffer One finger of white foam, nicely capped and formed, light orange and slightly hazy with plenty of bubble traffic clogging the roadways of libation traffic, not bad
